Late Train-Crashed Kitty and Sherman B-ranch

Sunday morning even though I was awake an hour early I wound up an hour late for the early train to Warrior Creek. DST transfer, dammit, how did I miss that one? Back to bed for an hour then waking up to an emergency. One of the 6-6week old foster kittens McFly had crashed. Weakened by an upper respiratory that we had been medicating for 5 days he just went to die. When I first saw him he looked completely deflated of air inside out and not breathing, the life flame gone. Small, dead. Holy crap, St Lissa touched him and he meowed softly. Within 18 minutes McFly was under the care of Dr. Syska and the fine folks at the emergency Vet on Monroe. I held the wheel with both hands the entire speeding drive while she shared her breath with him through his tiny nose. Why cry when breathing is needed? Critical but within a few hours stable. They saved him, he will be discharged today and will reunite with his siblings.
Later in the afternoon I left Dooleyville for Sherman Branch on my Mountain Bike. Seemed like a dumb(32 x 20) idea within a few hundred yards of leaving the house. The asphalt transfer east and a bit north of here took around about 40mins. Seems as if heat was radiating already reminding me that the gross is just around the corner. Buildings not cars(and they are bad enough), buildings and asphalt release more entropy than cars. Look at all those buildings. Once at the SB lot I saw tons of cars and even some tailgaters. Into the trail and around in fine fashion slightly under an hour then back towards Dooleyville. The wind was in my face this time out of the west and south while pushing that one gear going slow and a lonely way to go at that. Ilan said once that a head wind hurts more than a tail wind helps. Often I am reminded how true that is. The return trip took about 50mins, I lost 10.

Trail side adjustment took less than 4mins and was worth it.
Such a 'beautiful' day with ground level and atmospheric haze already apparent.

What is this in Dooleyville?
Major ravine obstacle.
I spy the tracked vehicle line.
Whew, that was close.

Scud Missile Plays FairField Iowa

Jordan sent me this link to a video shot on Saturday night in (Un) or (Not Playing) Fairfield Iowa at the collegiate corner of cool and cool. Thought all you folks out there would like to get a glimpse into the night life of the town supporting the university which is shooting for sustainability.

Flash Back 7 Suns

I still have not yet been able to fix the 'r'(this last one came via copy and paste) key which may a take minimum of until the next week. In the meantime to stay as half assed as possible I will put in place of that alpha an *. This will be fun, *ight?

A week ago today I woke up to this scene in Dooleyville fo* my Stay Alive Commute. It was cold(65F colde* than it will be today) and white, d*y, densely quiet and ve*y much sustaining on less auto influence. My mail. I left 20 minutes Ea*lie* than no*mal to get the mail delive*ed to 2 clients who wound up opening 2 and 3 hou*s late to allow fo* safe commute. Mine was a bit safe even though it did take no less than double the time. The su*face va**ied between solid pokey ice nodules, 4 inches of f*esh powde* hiding f*ozen solid jagged ice nodules as well as othe* deb*is and black salty wet ub*an ick liquid 2 inches deep on the asphalt. All I could think was pick a line and DO NOT FLAT. Soft in this spot, obstacles hidden....

Sp*inge* said that he liked the image and noticed that it may have been slightly painful 20mins in which it was but by 45 and afte* I did not notice much down low.

Black wate* Ice Cubed leg hai* dingles.

You should see the puddle this melt left.

Missing You

Okay,
Here it goes with the multiple rap musics audible through the space gap contact of head phones to the skulls of those entertained around me whilst I stand in front of a stand up peasant's machine in the public virtual Library of the Jar. No pictures to share with you because I cannot put my work on this computer for this computer only allows me 15 minutes of interface.

I miss you all and I feel like some of you miss me. Well okay maybe not you all in the physical form but the you I have come to know early in the mornings when I attempt to release my perceptions and images or art creations through the medium of my bloggy. Please keep looking, do not give up I think my hardware problems will be solved in a few days.

3mins remaining and I have to spell check.

Charlotte Library?

0900hrs
Charlotte Public Library blog update.
First I notice that there are
many rap videos being played around me.
Just after I had finished loading yesterday's
winter Stay Alive images I began to type the
story. The door opened, 1 of the 6 tiny foster
kittens bolted out into the public domain of 4 K-9
sporting class amateurs. In the immediate rescue
attempt I knocked the table and my tea swished
out of the ceramic, in a splash a drop feel behind the 'T'
key. I was able to save the little white one whose
back was pinned by the paw and her head was under the
lapping tongue of Zula the T'wit warrior. It looked
as if the husky was enjoying the kittypop. Whence
I commenced this morning's dissertation and extreme
winter survival story from yesterday every time I hit
letter 'T' it ran like this tttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.
completely out of control to the right. Upon further
examination I discovered that the 'R' does not work at all.
Machine is broken again. I will be back soon. Intersting story
from this am's 18F commute when I ran into a biker
walking with his crumpled cannondale on his shoulder.
He had been hit by a car and it was bad. Matt's story
and a recap of yesterday as soon as I fix the machine.

Sunday Special

Sorry to bother you with such nonsense but I know that laughter is contagious even early on a Sunday morning. If you do not laugh at least once there must be something wrong with you because this vignette has class all the way through the closing scene and credits. I was tipped off by Adam who had left the link as a comment on one of the 3 blogs that I actually look forward to seeing. Thanks for sharing and giving me a large dose of laughter. This is way better right now than being on our way to Uwharrie in the 34 degree ice rain about to go snow for a cold wet ride, so glad you did not call.
