Toonday I Enter my 4th Life!

On this first day of Gemini some 40 years or 14,600 days ago I was born in the Bronx New York at Jewish Memorial Hospital so that I can be with you here in this space and time. Wow, that is like 350,000 hours that I have been intrinsically attached to the landscape which I was born onto. It has been an eye opening run thus far and it seems sometimes that all I have to show for it is the creation of imagery and its relation to the truth. The other night I watched a non-commercial documentary on Germany during World War II. The film impressed me right away for I had never seen most of the footage that was being used. I grabbed my camera, made some adjustments and began capturing slices of the film that may have only been stopped in time exactly like they are below by me. What a powerful thought that I now share with you, those brave enough to look into my mind's eye through this electro collection of light speed particles that is my blog. I have edited the final composition of these 16 images that I present to you with instead of photographic sarcasm, real thoughts that real folks have verbally transferred. Most of the words are quotes and those sources are appropriately recognized. Enjoy this photographic, literary and educational transfer.

I'm the Decider. -George W. Bush Multiple times during his Presidency post 9/11.
9/11 has taught us that terrorism against American interests "over there" should be regarded just as we regard terrorism against America "over here." In the same sense, the American homeland is the planet. -The 9/11 Commission Report Authorized Edition
In late July(43BC) a centurion from Octavian's army suddenly appeared in the Senate House. From the assembled gathering he demanded the consulship, still vacant, for his general. The Senate refused. The centurion brushed back his cloak and laid his hand on the hilt of his sword. "If you do not make him consul, " he warned, "then this will." And so it happened. -Tom Holland Rubicon: The Last Years of the Roman Republic(2003)
Wherever there's evil, we want to go there and fight it. -General Charles Wald, deputy commander of the U.S.'s European Command, June 2003
If you dream that everyone might be your enemy, one day they may become just that. -Nick Cohen Observer, April, 7, 2002
It's not easy to assess the size or exact value of our empire of bases. Official records on these subjects are misleading, although instructive. According to the Defense Department's annual "Base Structure Report" for fiscal year 2003, which itemizes foreign and domestic U.S. military real estate, the Pentagon currently owns or rents 702 overseas bases in about 130 countries and HAS another 6,000 bases in the United States and its territories. Pentagon bureaucrats calculate that it would require at least $113.2 billion to replace just the foreign bases -- surely far too low a figure but still larger than the gross domestic product of most countries -- and an estimated $591,519.8 million to replace all of them. The military high command deploys to our overseas bases some 253,288 uniformed personnel, plus an equal number of dependents and Department of Defense civilian officials, and employs an additional 44,446 locally hired foreigners. The Pentagon claims that these bases contain 44,870 barracks, hangars, hospitals, and other buildings, which it owns, and that it leases 4,844 more. -Chalmers Johnson
The new U.S. embassy[in Baghdad along the Tigris River] is as permanent a base as they come. Located in a 104-acre compound, it will be the biggest embassy in the world-ten times the size of a typical American embassy, six times larger than the U.N., as big as Vatican city and costing $592 million to build. It will be defended by blast walls and ground-to-air missiles. -Chalmers Johnson Nemesis-The Last Days of The American Republic-2006
War came naturally enough to the British, after so much experience of it, and empire offered them a more or less perpetual battle-field. -Jan Morris Heaven's Command:An Imperial Progress(1973)
War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses. -Major General Smedley Butler USMC Commander Retired after serving in combat action around the world from 1898 to 1931. The previous excerpt comes from a speech that he gave to the United States Congress in 1933.
Whoever has the capability to control space will like wise posses the capability to exert control on the surface of the Earth. -General Thomas D. White, Air Force Chief of Staff, November 29, 1957
There is Presently[Globally] 2.9 Billion Barrels of oil in 'Reserve', a truly unprecedented amount, we are awash in it. -NPR, May 19, 2009
Let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel's. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under a McCain...administration. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under an Obama administration. So that policy is not going to change. Barack Obama --Amman, Jordan, July 22, 2008
Our vision calls for prompt global strike space systems with the capability to directly apply force from or through space against terrestrial targets. -Air Force Space Command, Strategic Master Plan, Federal Year 2004 and Beyond
My administration has a job to do and we're going to do it. We will rid the world of evildoers. -President George W. Bush September 16, 2001
There are more U.S. owned pilotless drones flying over the middle east right now than we could ever imagine. These war machine aiming tools are being controlled in dark rooms by more agencies than we would ever believe existed. Nothing about the missile strikes that they create is surgical or exact. -Billy Fehr May 21, 2009
In such a tempestuous present, an examination of the past seems a relative luxury. It is for now far easier for a researcher to explain how and why September 11 happened than it is to explain the aftermath. -Steve Coll's last 2 sentences in his 2005 Pulitzer Prize Winning Non-Fiction Book Titled: Ghost Wars

the picture is clear, is it not? 2.9 million 55 gallon drums of oil and more where that came from. which is where this toonpire has gone. in the name of clamping down. thank you for holding this in your hand, palm up, for all of us who are lucky enough to see it. i wonder about hospitals and spirits, earths surface and why so many stay disconnected from the emotional quanta of creating and elemental living? so the toon can be real (or seem real)?!? whats real is real, and whats scary is not when you stare right at it.
